In the lecture the professor pointed out that communal encyclopedias are better than traditional printed encyclopedia.
First, while 100% correct standard is hard to reach, the communal online encyclopedias is comparetively more reliable than traditional printed ones. Because the errors in the communal encyclopedias are easy to be corrected.If it is for those in the printed encyclopedias, it would be impossible to revise.
Second, unlike the point made in the reading passage that the context online are likely to be changed by people like hackers with wicked purpose, the professor argued that, the information provided by the communal encyclopedias have been more secured nowadays. There are special editors whose job is to monitor all the changes made by users and elimate the wicked ones. Also, the crucial facts are not able to be edited or deleted.
Third, the variety of information provided by communal encyclopedias are one of its advantage. While in the printed ecyclopedia, there is no abundant space for all sorts of information, so the editors had to decide what are the most important ones. But, in the era of communal encyclopedia, people now can have access to a wider range of information. The diversity of the encyclopedia has been enormously improved, which give people the right to choose what matters most.

When my grandparents told me all the fun stories of their childhood, it gives a feeling that the life we are having today is more difficult and less comfortable than those of their innocent time.
First of all,&&the problem of heavy haze has effected our daily life enormously. The clear sky and fresh air are no longer easy to enjoy. People tend to wear respirator when they are outside for the sake of health. Children can no longer hang out with their friends on the playground as their P.E. class has changed the location to indoor stadium.Can we call this a comfortable life? I highly doubt it.
Secondly, people are under much more pressure nowadays. We have been carrying burden since we were students. We fight for the seat in college, we fight for a seat in company, we were forced to get married soon so that we won't be left behind. 'Take it easy' have become impossible since the race of life have begun when we were only 10.From the latest information I have gathered, nowadays wether children can get into those best kindergarten has become the highest priority of most young parents. Kids have to go through the interview to be admitted to the kindergarten, which requires them to be intellectual and being able to play one or two instruments. I guess it is really hard to be a kid in the atomosphere of competition.No one wants to be left behind.
Thirdly, although the security system around us seems to be more and more sophisticated, we are now living a life with more potential danger. The era of leaving the door on the latch at night has gone.We have to be 120% cautious to prevent ourselves form being robbed or being cheated. In comparison, when my grandmother was a little girl, she would play with her friends in the open yard of their house with the front door open,without concerning potential strangers would come in and rob the house
