5.0 out of 5 starsQuick setup, connected wirelessly to existing modem/router, and provides 4 jacks for my wired devices.ByRando DI needed an extender after switching internet providers (DSL to Fiber), and the new modem/router was installed in a corner of my house furthest from my office. I had 4 wired devices on my old router (Media Server, XBOX360, etc.) that I wanted to continue using, but didn't want to run wires all across my house.I looked into turning an old router into a "wireless bridge", but the ones I had required a cable to do this.
Then I checked on wireless access points, but again, the ones I found in my price range required a cable to be run. Then I figured out I needed a "wifi extender", and looked for one that had 4 Ethernet jacks. I was thrilled to find this one refurbished and sold by Amazon.This didn't come with any manuals, just a page with an internet link. But I have some experience setting up networks, so I plugged a desktop into the wifi extender, and opened my browser to the gateway address (defaulted to 192.168.1.250). The wizard was super-simple, and only took about 10 minutes to complete. I just had to select my existing wireless network, enter the security info, and select a few options. For example, it will automatically mimic your existing wifi password and network name, or you can change those to whatever you want. The wizard did everything else, and now I have extra wireless networks (2G and 5G) ready for use on that side of the house.I confirmed my devices could communicate with each other, regardless of whether I was connected to the Wifi extender or the original wireless router. That was big deal to me, and I feel this device was everything it is advertised to be. I've done a few speed tests and am happy with what I've seen so far.

Could not get through to web page they listed ( Mywifiext.net). Looking at google many others had the same problem. Tried to call but only number was the premium service for $49.95. Tried their downloaded genie but it would not work.
I am hoping that the webpage may be up early in the morning. I have used their gear before this and have always been happy. In the future I will look past their products.

ByI bought this because I had to put my printer across the room from my computer, and my printer doesn't isn't wireless but it does have a ethernet port. It works great for that, but good thing I'm not relying on it to actually extend my WiFi coverage since my desktop computer (Which sits across the room from this extender, maybe 10-15 feet away) gets 18 mbps max download. When connected to my router which is on the other sid eof my apartment, I get 95 mbps max download on my computer.So if your using this to extend your coverage, then I'd say that it is mediocre. Gets the job done, but not very fast.
ByI have had my original WN2500 for 8 years and it still works. I purchased this one because I moved to a new building with cinder block walls which don't pass signals too well. I ended up needing another extender to stream tv. This unitt works with my router and now have two at either end of of our house with the router in between.
I was able to do the setup with my smartphone. For the price I couldn't go wrong. If I didn't know this was a refurbished unit the packaging would not have told me. It was as secure and professional as my original unit.
ByA very powerful WiFi extender. It took the issues that I was having with streaming 4K and made it disappear. The speed I'm getting is 126mb. I actually bought two this product work so well. If you want to take away the issues is not being able to stream 4K or other high content this is the router extender for you. I recommend this product.
ByLIke all range extenders I have tried, I do wish the strength of the signal sent by this Netgear product was a bit more "potent". That said, it has worked better than the others I have tried, and the ethernet ports on the back of the device are quite handy for connecting my devices that do not have wifi capabilities.

my WiFi signal improved by 24%, with the Router being located in the Apartment next to mine (Wood Walls)..
It has 4 ports on it to hook up devices to it with a Network cable if you want to...
ByWorks great out of the box but it will not let you upgrade the firmware and I believe that is because it is a refurbished unit/
ByFor some reason I couldn't get wifi in my garage it seems like I have a Faraday cage effect going on.
I ran a network cable to the garage plugged this in and in a few steps had it going.
I can now listen to my Amazon music in the garage.

ByI purchased the refurbished model since it was cheaper than a new one. This was easy to set up, although I am relatively tech savvy. I needed this
device to connect a wired only network device in a remote location in the house. This network extender has worked well since it was connected a few weeks ago.
