The special coverage of No. 1 Florida State vs. No. 2 Auburn will expand on ESPN's prior multiplatform telecasts to provide fans everywhere with the event's most wide-ranging coverage ever. The BCS Megacast initiative will begin with a simulcast of ESPN's BCS National Championship pregame show at 8 p.m. across ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic and ESPN3.
The Tigers destroyed Missouri's defense for 59 points in the SEC Championship. And then they watched as Ohio State fell to Michigan State, opening the door for the Tigers to return to the national championship for the second time in four seasons.
After appearing in the BCS National Championship Game in each of the first three seasons of its existence from , the Florida State Seminoles are once again playing for a title. Led by standout freshman quarterback Jameis Winston, the Seminoles were the only major conference team to complete an undefeated season to this point.
Despite this being the BCS National Championship, there were other bowl matchups with better prospects playing in them. I guess, that means Florida State and Auburn played more as a team than anybody else. The one elite prospect playing for either of these teams belongs to Auburn. His name is Greg Robinson, and he's their left tackle.
On Monday night, we will see the 16th and final BCS National Championship Game between the Florida State Seminoles and the Auburn Tigers. Starting next year, college football fans will get the long awaited playoff system that has been dreamed about for years. The College Football Playoff will feature four teams selected by a selection committee that includes former coaches, players, athletic directors and ... former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
