[GUIDE] 2-1-14 ROOT, UNLOCK-zvc, zvb/jb, zv9, zv8, zv7

i hvae rooted my phone a while back, and trying to get into CWM but realized i guess it didnt install. so i downloaded the GAIO program, and plugged in the LGOG sprint version.. and says to install the driver even though i did so i re-installed the driver and still not able to unlock and install CWM. any suggestion?

just spend the dollar and get freegee from the playstore. its worth it and helps the awesome developers

There's none that I know of.
If you're still on zv7 or zv8, Bin4ry's is supposed to unroot. I've heard that if you go into SuperSU, it'll unroot also.
As for zv9, the 2 above ways MIGHT work. I've heard mixed reviews.
If you still have CWM or TWRP recoveries, you might be able to use the Stock odex by breezy, and do the SuperSU way.
These are my only suggestions. Somebody chime in in you know of something different.
edit: this is from the ATT forum. carret's guide.
That's the closest one I know of. Obviously use the Sprint version.

Here you guys go, I used the Japanese Jelly Bean Root method, and created this, and can say works flawlessly on zv9, as well as Jelly Bean.
1. Unzip the zip file
2. Make sure USB Debugging is on, and your are in Charge only Mode
3. Run the CurrentRoot.bat, wait for the prompt.
4. Change to MTP Mode
5. Just ignore when your computer asks how to view files on your device.
6. Press enter in the CMD prompt to continue.

I forgot a step, and clarified a couple others, you might wanna update... I edited my post.
This is actually quite the help, as if you are lgnpst'n back to stock, there is a zv9 tot file, so you no longer will have to go all the way back to zv7, then up to zv8, bla bla... You can just go straight to zv9, and root straight from there. Voila!

last thing lol. have you tried using freegee app after rooting v9? just want to make sure it works

Hey guys, this is a beautiful thing! You guys here at XDA amaze me with your technical skills. I have a question about the ZV9 root\unlock process just posted. I hate to sound like a noobie, but I followed the instructions to a T and I keep getting the message in the CMD saying &adb' is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Is there something like the LG USB drivers that need to be installed first? Again, I am sorry to sound so green it just stated the five steps then six, done. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Yes, drivers do need to be installed. See OP.
It's easiest if adb is in the path. If not, you'll need to cd to the folder it's in.
